Capital 2 Capital Bike Ride
Registration starting now!
Follow history's footsteps with us from Platteville, Wi, passing Belmont to Madison, Wi on October 12th, 2024!

For some background:

The city of Belmont was the first capital of Wisconsin for 46 days, during this time the first 42 laws would be passed. They would later come into place when we gained our state title 12 years later.

The last session in Belmont was December 1836, then Madison took on the title as our state capital as it has remained since.
